How does it work?

🎮
Step 1

Post your game

Share a web, itch.io, TestFlight or Google Play link with a few screenshots. Works in progress are welcome.

🧪
Step 2

Test other makers' games

Play a game for a few minutes and write what you liked, what broke or felt awkward, and a 1–5 rating.

🪙
Step 3

Earn credits

Each real review earns 5 credits, plus 2 more if the developer marks it as helpful.

🚀
Step 4

Get fresh testers

Spend 10 credits to boost your game up the queue so more testers see it.

What does feedback look like?

Every review answers the same three things, so developers get feedback they can act on. Here's an illustrative example of the format:

Example review (illustrative, not from a real member)

What I liked: The dash feels great and the first level teaches it without any text. I wanted to keep going after I died.

Bugs or friction: On my phone the pause button sits under the notch, so I couldn't tap it. Level 2's moving platform sometimes pushes me through the wall.

One thing I'd change: Show the dash cooldown on the player, not in the corner.

Rating: 4/5

Why swap playtests instead of paying for them?

Early on, you need honest reactions from people who've never seen your game, more than you need a polished QA report. Swapping gets you that for free, and testing other makers' games teaches you a lot about your own. Every reviewer here is also making games, so they know what useful feedback looks like.

Frequently asked questions

Is AI Game Universe playtesting free?

Yes. It's credit-based, not paid. New members start with 10 credits, and you earn more by testing other people's games.

How do credits work?

You earn 5 credits for each real review you write, plus a 2-credit bonus when the developer marks it as helpful. If a developer marks a review as not helpful, the credits for it are taken back. Boosting your own game costs 10 credits.

Which platforms are supported?

iOS (including TestFlight builds), Android and Google Play, web games, itch.io, PC and Mac. You post a link, and testers open it on their own device.

Is it only for AI-made games?

It's built for people making games with AI tools, and that's who you'll meet here. If you're unsure whether your project fits, ask in Advice.

How fast will I get testers?

It depends on how many members are active and whether you boost your game. Testing other games and boosting with the credits you earn is the most reliable way to get seen.

What counts as a real review?

A review needs at least a few sentences on what you liked and on bugs or friction, plus a 1–5 rating. You can review each game once, and you can't review your own.
